This is a chance to acquire a unique accessory to brighten up your wardrobe with a hand made, hand dyed cobweb scarf. This cobweb scarf is made with gorgeously soft merino fleece that has been hand dyed in a mix of blue, green and purple. The inspiration for this scarf came from water reflections. Using this inspiration, I dyed the fleece to mimic the movement of water.
It is made using the wet felting method. A length of roving is laid out and gently teased out to make it the width of the scarf. The scarf is then soaked with hot, soapy water. Pressure is then applied to create a piece of stunning felt. Every felted piece is completely unique.
This scarf is also made with an eco friendly conscience. The fleece comes from manufacturers who recycle as much of the by products of manufacture as possible. I also ensure there is as little water wastage as possible in my own techniques. There are no harsh chemicals or unnatural materials or methods used in the making of this scarf.
