This unique, hand crafted felt painting would make a beautifully unique addition to add colour to your walls. The painting was inspired by my favourite season, spring. There is a beautiful blossom tree in my garden which provided the perfect subject for this painting. The painting is made from gorgeous merino fleece, blended as a background. Detailing has then been needle felted on top and stitching added to create definition.
The painting has a iron on vilene backing to give it more structure. The picture comes unframed with hanging ability on the back.
It is made using the wet felting method. This involves laying out layers of butter soft merino fleece and wetting it with hot soapy water. Pressure is then applied to create a piece of stunning felt. Every felted piece is completely unique.
This painting is also made with an eco friendly conscience. The fleece comes from manufacturers who recycle as much of the by products of manufacture as possible. I also ensure there is as little water wastage as possible in my own techniques. There are no harsh chemicals or unnatural materials or methods used in the making of this painting.
